Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SmartCampusBuddy ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

2. The Service

SmartCampusBuddy lets you build, edit, preview, and (on paid plans) download resumes using our templates and tools. Editing and previewing are free; PDF export requires an active paid plan, as described on our Pricing page.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

• Pro Pass (₹49) one time payment granting unlimited downloads for 24 hours from purchase.
• Student Pro (₹149/month) a recurring monthly subscription that auto renews until cancelled.
• Student Yearly (₹559/year) a recurring annual subscription that auto renews until cancelled.

Recurring plans are billed automatically at the start of each period via Razorpay until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account's Billing & Plans page; cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period - you retain access through the end of the period you've already paid for. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or netbanking credentials.

4. Refunds

Because plans grant immediate digital access, payments are generally non-refundable once a subscription is active or a Pro Pass period has begun. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support and we'll review it. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details on eligibility, cancellation, and how to request a refund.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the resume content you create on SmartCampusBuddy. We claim no ownership over it. You grant us only the limited right to store and process it as needed to operate the Service (e.g. rendering your resume and generating your PDF export).

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to submit false credentials on a resume with intent to deceive an employer
• Attempt to bypass payment, access controls, or rate limits
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell access to the Service without our permission

7. Intellectual Property

The SmartCampusBuddy name, logo, templates, and underlying software are our property (or licensed to us) and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that your resume will result in interviews or job offers, or that our ATS scoring perfectly reflects every employer's applicant tracking system. See our Disclaimer for more detail.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartCampusBuddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost job opportunities or lost data.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including attempts to circumvent billing or security controls.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
